Disclosure
Affiliate disclosure
Plain English, no fine print: here is exactly how this site makes money.
The short version
Base Note Club is reader-supported. When you buy something through a link on this site, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. You pay exactly what you would have paid anyway; the retailer shares a small cut with us for the referral. That commission is what keeps the site running and independent.
Amazon Associates
Base Note Club is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Our outbound product links are tagged with our Associate ID and route through a redirect on our own domain so we can keep them tidy and swappable.
It never changes our verdict
This is the part that matters. Commission never decides a ranking. We routinely rank a $30 bottle above a $150 one when it's the better buy, and on our dupe pageswe point the buy link at a reliably-stocked clone rather than the expensive, counterfeit-plagued original — even when the original would, in theory, pay us more. If a fragrance isn't worth your money, we say so. Read our editorial policy for the full standard.
About the prices you see
Prices and availability are pulled live from Amazon through its official product API and stamped with the date they were verified. They change constantly. If our data is more than 48 hours old, we hide the number rather than show you a stale one — and the price at checkout on Amazon is always the one that counts.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, ask us. We'd rather over-explain how we're funded than leave you guessing.
